To install the Chrome extension manually, you need to unpack the extension first. This will allow for installation of the Chrome extension which has been downloaded directly from the WeVPN website.

To install the Chrome Extension manually:

1. Download the Chrome extension from the WeVPN website.
The extension is available directly from here.

2. Unpack the chrome_ext.zip into a folder

3. Goto Chrome settings using the three dots on the top right corner.

4. Select 'Extensions'.
This can be done easier by using the address chrome://extensions

5. Enable 'Developer Mode'

6. Select 'Load Unpacked' and select your unzipped extension folder

7. The WeVPN extension is now installed in Chrome
