How secure and private are WeVPN DNS servers?
When using a privacy service, it is extremely important that all traffic originating from your computer is routed through the private network. There are many existing DNS options available, and many VPN companies use DNS service providers like Google DNS (8.8.8.8), CloudFlare (1.1.1.1), or OpenDNS (208.67.222.222). This defeats all privacy efforts because these companies may be logging your DNS queries. In addition, these DNS providers do not encrypt your DNS queries.
At WeVPN, we take your privacy seriously. We have setup our own DNS servers (10.255.0.1 when connected to our VPN network) and all of your DNS queries go through our encrypted DNS servers.
